French security forces, armed with various counter-drone equipment, enforced this ban with significant result. To protect public safety, flying unauthorized drones is banned around the airspace of Paris, among other decrees of aerial control. Prime Minister Attal reminded the public during his address that not only will unauthorized flying drones will be taken down, but their operators will also be apprehended.
Yet a number of such incidents still occured, notably that of Brazilian delegation team's communication chief arrested for flying a drone within the Olympic village. The French security forces, armed with various forms of drone-intercepting equipment, are downing six drones a day on average since the ban went into effect on July 23.
